AMY ALLEN

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

Musician Amy Allen smiles while holding a guitar

Amy has worked professionally for more than 35 years, playing in bands, singing solo, serving as a studio singer. She has recorded two albums; her first country album, Nightvision, was released in 1997, and her sophomore album, Someday is Today, was released in 2013. You can find Amy’s music on iTunes or other streaming services.

Amy Allen is a blues-accented country, pop, and Americana singer-songwriter who has performed on three continents, appearing at venues ranging from the White House and Ryman Auditorium to the Garden Hotel in Machakos, Kenya. She brings passion and energy to the stage with hints of Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Elton John, Eva Cassidy and Patsy Cline, yet with a powerful sound that is all her own.

“Every note I sing or every note or chord I strum is given with all of the love I have for the song I am performing,” Amy says. “My voice is the voice of someone who has been down many different roads.”
